Y (height) / X (length) x 100
How to find the slope of your lawn
- Spirit level
- Ruler or measuring tape
- Measure the length of the spirit level (X).
- Place one end of the spirit level on the ground and hold it horizontally.
- Take the opposite end of the level, and measure the distance to the ground (Y).
- Divide the height (X) with the length (Y) and multiply by 100. The result is the inclination in %.
Example: If the height (Y) is 15 cm and the length of the level (X) is 50 cm the inclination is 30%. (15 / 50 x 100 = 30 %).
